Our Company Profile Acorn (MK) Nurseries was founded in 1981 and worked from a number of rented sites across the Milton Keynes area. The current partnership of Stephen Burchmore and Ian Pretty has led the company to its position as the area’s leading wholesale nursery. In 1986 the present site at Emberton was purchased allowing a rapid increase in production. With a staff of 14, the nursery now produces in excess of 150,000 2L and 3L plants. We produce a good range of trees and shrubs as well as a large selection of herbaceous perennials and alpines. We also grow an ever increasing range of specimen stock with pot sizes up to 100L. On top of our own production we buy in a large amount of stock from many of the top nurseries in the UK, Europe and further afield in New Zealand.
